Don't Get Sick! 2/24/17

Hello SMALL Farm Enthusiasts,

I have not been significantly sick in almost 30 years.  I thought that
this was a worthy accomplishment  considering the rise of the
pharmaceutical industry.  It also goes against the grain of those who
think they have no control over their health and live as though,
"disease and sickness can strike at any moment". This frame of thought
is just not the truth and can be reversed once the responsibility is
placed in the hands of its rightful owner, Y.O.U..   In the words of
Louis Pasteur himself, "The microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything."

I do get colds and flu occasionally  and a few times I thought I was
going to break my winning streak but sickness just does not last more
than a couple hours with me and I wanted to share my secrets. (Once,
about 10 years ago, I did get a terrific fever that made me think I was
going to die but in a few hours I was good to go again). My body is a
fighter and I wanted to share what I think is most helpful in that fight
so yours can fight as well. FIRST and foremost I do not use white
refined sugar.  Ten teaspoons of sugar will knock your immune function
down by 50% and it takes 48 hours to rebuild. Most Americans eat 20 to
50 teaspoons of the white poison daily and that is why the average 30
year old walks around with a 23% immune response. Second I do not eat
processed foods and junk foods period. These are loaded with the white
poison (and other POISONS as well) and often almost devoid of real food
nutrients of any kind. Instead I eat lots of unprocessed and unlabeled
foods right from the farm and I do not worry about it being super
sterilized or even extremely clean. 3rd I eat mostly organic
or beyond organically grown foods from known and trusted sources. I do
not want chemicals on my food and I do not want it processed to death.
"Healthy" dead food is not real food. (ie organic ultra pasteurized
milk) Organic food that is dead is still dead and life does not come
from dead food. I am not opposed to certified organically grown but I
realize that the organic standards are extremely low. I want more, I
want to know where my food comes from and a little about how it is grown
and produced. I want to look into the eyes of the farmer and trust him
or her. 4th I follow these general guidelines and more when I
can, and when I cannot, I do not get too stressed out about it.
Instead I focus on things I can do and take responsibility for and what I
can change for example I keep my carbs low and protein high and I eat a
lot of what I trust and little of what I know little about. And lastly I
listen to my body and let it tell me what is working and lifting me up
or what is pulling me down. An example here is I love peanut butter but
peanut butter does NOT love me. (A few years ago when peanuts were
planted in a field nearby I saw them spray them 12 times, I have not
eaten peanuts since) And along with listening to my body I allow my
emotions and feelings to be heard as well, this does not mean I live by
my feelings but it does mean I use them to guide me. Feelings need to be
expressed, find a safe place like a support group. A LOT of depression
is unexpressed anger. There are a LOT of reasons to be angry today,
don’t kid yourself and try to ignore it but instead express it to safe
people. Instinct is not ignored but properly questioned and processed or
thought thru completely. Make logical decisions but I do not stuff down
and ignore emotions. So I hope this helps, there is a lot more to
health and healing but on the other hand it is not a rocket science
either. We sometimes over think it a bit. These are some basics that
have worked for me. One final thought: when you are malnourished from
eating junk foods it will take some time to get nourished again. During
this time you will struggle with saying no to junk. One thing that
helped me was to leave the junk in the store and fill my house instead
with really good and nourishing foods, I did sometimes over eat but at
least healthy instead of junk.

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
