Meet Your Farmer in Orlando date is now set for September 17th.  Alicia and I will travel to Orlando and share about what, why and how we do what we do.  Contact steve@farmfreshdirect2u.com for details of the event.  Steve has been taking our farm goods as well as several other farm goods to the Orlando area for over 10 years now and he actually apprenticed with us all the way back when we farmed in Dade City so we are almost like family.

We recycle.  Plastic grocery bags are needed for meat items.  Glass or plastic quart containers (only the ones that come from our farm or similar, no other labels please) are seriously needed now. Lily loves putting her goat milk into glass but if we do not get the glass back and we run out we will use plastic.  Also our cardboard egg cartons are reusable and we save so much when you return them.  Put recyclables into the cooler that you pick up your goods with then when you get to the stop there they are to give to our drivers.

We are running out of chicken from Eden farm and have long since been out of FCF chicken but are starting our fall run so in 60 days we will be stocked up again, thank you for your patience.  Meanwhile we want to move all Spring chicken so a sale is on for the remaining things we have left. See our website for details:  https://fullcirclerealfoods.com/store/vendor/eden-farms

New Product! Gingered pears, aahh, you have never tasted anything quite like this.  Made by our good friends at Great Mercy Ranch they are delicious for breakfast over yogurt or smothered in cream, as a side with sausage or bacon with grits is one of our favorites or on top of a piece of heavily buttered sourdough toast. Each quart jar is a perfect combination of organic pears(homegrown), pineapple, ginger, sea salt and demerara sugar.  A delicious condiment for pork or smother pork chops or ham steak with them and then cook for a really tasty main dish.  Put them over a bed of toasted sourdough bread cumbs and then top with some sourdough bread crumbs toasted in a little (or a lot) of butter with a little honey or maple syrup for a sweet topping and bake for a yummy cobbler type dessert.   For those wondering about the sweetener, Demerara has a natural caramel-like flavor that hasn’t been refined out, which lends a warm caramel flavor. Demerara sugar is also referred to as Turbinado sugar in many markets, which has more to do with how the sugar is processed in turbines, than where it originates.  We hope you will try our Gingered Pears, we are certain you won't regret it and will be checking the calendar for them next year. This is the last round for these as this is completely seasonal and shelf life is limited.
$12/qt.

Ed and Karen of Eden Farm are picking their delicious red muscadine grapes now. $12.00/ pkg. Packages are aprox. 5 lbs.

Pork highlights...

We tried the new bacon & hams with the Pink Himalayan Salt and were very happy with the outcome.  Let us know what you think.

Also, we will be getting more chorizo links and other great cuts back from the butcher next week so be looking for inventory updates.

Finally, we wanted to recommend to try Pork Bones not only as a way to make nutrient rich pork broth and to season soups and casseroles but also as an alternative for dog food.  We have used raw pork bones with our dogs on the farm and they absolutely love it.  We are now offering bulk pricing on this option where if you order 10 lbs or more they are only $1.00/lb (instead of $1.50/lb).

Thanks for being conscious consumers who vote with your pocket book by supporting our growing family of farms and budding entrepreneurs,
Dennis and Alicia

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
