Learn to Ask Questions and an Apology 9/22/17

Hello SMALL Farm Enthusiasts,

I want to offer a sincere apology for what I said about the professor
from UF in our farm report on 8/25, that came out to scoop poop for
research. I had no right to say what I did and it was most unkind.
Someone called me on it and I appreciate that. We never know someone's
personal journey and I had no right to throw him under the bus like I
did.  I also do not want to expose my readers to toxic anything,
including words. It was just wrong and I am so sorry. I hope my readers
can find it in their hearts to forgive me.

Beef available. We
have a new beef partner who is doing it right and healing the land.
Please enjoy this new beef, sold by the cut, throughout the next year
(we are stocking up).  Time for halves and whole in the next few weeks,
let me know immediately if you would like to stock up your freezer with
your own half or whole beef.  It is great to have your freezers full of
meat. That way you always know what is for dinner and unnecessary, last
minute trips to the grocery store can be significantly reduced.  Not to
mention, it saves money in the long run.

We did well thru the Irma ordeal. Some trees came down and a power
outage for 3 days but no losses that were too tough to bear, for which
we are so very thankful. The worst thing was not being able to deliver
one Thursday which was a huge loss in revenue but some will be captured
in the future as all the milk that week was made into cream and then
frozen. We were out of frozen cream so no loss there.  All is well that
ends well. And although you never know what a day will bring we intend
to be here a long time. We thank you all for your support which makes it
possible and our hearts go out to those who lost a lot more than we
did.

In the world of "Grass Fed" we continue to see 2 sides rising up.  On
the one hand you have the most sincere people doing amazing things to
bring you the very best food possible, then, on the other hand you have
lots of shenanigans going on, like lying about being something they are
not. GMO free is a claim many make and do not want to back it up with
proof. 100% grass fed is another that is often said but not done. Ask
lots o questions and if the farmer is unavailable to answer them to your
liking stay away. I see often where city folks just do not know what to
ask and I may address this in future letters and try to help. So, if
anyone has ideas please forward them to me. Transparency is important,
if the farmer is not open to showing you everything, BUYER  BE WARE.

Late order fee.  As
we grow, and our team grows along with the numbers we do in orders
every week, we need to set healthy boundaries for our team here. One
stress point we have to deal with here, constantly is late orders, those
orders that want to come in after the set deadline. We set this
deadline because there is a time we need to stop taking orders and start
the pulling and packing process and it is hard to do 2 things at once.
So we are going to start, mid October, to add a $7 fee to late orders.
These will be taken at the discretion of the team here. To place a late
order you will need to send an email with a list of products desired.
Then the team will respond, letting you know if we can add it.  They
then will hand enter your order (if accepted) and reprint the packing
list so your order can be added. The late fee will be added to your
order. It is a lot of extra work for the team here to add late orders so
the late fee will be for them and to curb the habit. I can tell you a
little secret, if the $7 does not reduce the late orders it will
increase. This only effects 1 or 2 % of you, the rest of you have been
good on this, VERY good and we thank you sincerely.

Thanks for supporting a small, family farm and contributing to a more REGENERATIVE future,

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
