If you are concerned about A1/A2 beta casein than this is the milk for you. A1 is the milk protein that is harder, overall for people to digest and has been linked to serious illnesses such as: heart disease, autism, type 1 diabetes, etc.. Milk that contains the A2 beta casein has no such ills attached to it and, according to research, is better assimilated by humans. We are moving to a 100% A2A2 milking herd but until then we will offer 2 different products at 2 different prices.
100% grassfed, no grain EVER! Cows do not have a digestive system to properly breakdown grain and, when fed grain, acidosis in their bodies can occur. When a cow is acidic her byproducts (milk and meat) are also. So, we only feed our cows and other ruminant animals what their bodies were meant to digest, GRASS! Supplemented with Free Choice Minerals and hay and alfalfa in the winter, we have healthy cows that produce nutrient dense milk. The proof is in the taste.
The milk should last at least 10 days from the time it was milked (which is marked on the bottle). Our milk is 1-5 days old when you get it. If you get several gallons we give you a mixture of dates and, of course, the older ones should be consumed first. If you only get 1 gallon we try and give you the freshest (1-3 days old).
