These are Freedom Ranger Broilers that were raised on Pasture at Full Circle Farm. They were fed a Non-GMO corn/soy free diet and moved daily.
Freedom Rangers take 10-12 weeks to reach maturity compared to the 6-8 week lifespan of the Cornish Cross. Freedom Rangers are excellent foragers - this means that they produce a darker, more flavorful meat. A fellow poultry grower said their customers described the meat as having the flavor of a stewing hen, but the tenderness of a young bird. We think you will be able to taste the difference in these birds!
Each package contains roughly 1 pound of chicken livers.
