According to Dr. Davis in his book Super Gut, Lactobacillus Gasseri is a bacteriocin (natural antibiotics produced by bacteria) powerhouse. It is able to produce up to seven bacteriocins that are very effective against many of the species of SIBO. This microbe is able to live in the genital, urinary, and digestive systems. This makes it wonderful for eliminating bacterial imbalances in your favorite pet that other probiotics are not able to reach.
If your favorite pet is suffering from Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) we recommend eating 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup each of L. Reuteri, L. Gasseri, and Bacillus Subtilis daily for a minimum of 4 weeks. The combination of these three probiotic strains is very successful in eliminating unwanted bacteria that has worked its way into your pet’s small intestine where it does not belong.
