Marrow bones have little to no meat and are filled with marrow which make for a delicious, nutrient dense broth. Use for making stock or broth.
When cooked together with soup bones you not only get a rich broth for soup but your pet also gets the added benefit of the meat from the soup bones.
To make soup: add marrow bones and soup bones to pot with enough water to cover. Cook soup bones until meat falls off the bones, about 4 hours. At this point you can discard the bones and finish making your soup as described below or take the meat off the bones, set meat aside. Put the bones back into the soup pot to continue to cook for broth making. Once you feel like the bones have been cooked down enough for your soup base, discard the bones and add the meat back in, along with any veggies, seasonings, canned tomatoes, etc and you will have a delicious, pet nourishing meal.
