Satsumas are mostly seedless and EZ peel so kids love em, they contain a long list of antioxidants beyond Vitamin C and the mild-tasting peel is edible adding greatly to their nutrient value. If you are feeling adventurous try making candied orange peel, very delicious.
We know that citrus peels/pulp contain flavonols and healthy nutrients. Satsuma peels are mild and feature naringenin, I eat a few peels like with kumquats. We heard that you can make a "stock" of peels/pulp by covering them with water, bring to boil/reduce to simmer for two hours. Strain off liquid, cool, drink or sip. You can also do the same with grapefruit skins, these may be strong but a powerful antibiotic so use caution with them.
