Homemade Chocolate Ice cream by Alicia Stoltzfoos
Lots of egg yolks and fresh, raw cream from Full Circle Farm make this ice cream extra rich and creamy with a custard like texture.

Directions

Makes 5-6 quarts

Ingredients

3-4 dozen Egg yolks

2 quarts of Cream

2 cups of Maple Syrup

1/2 a tsp of Salt

1 Tbsp of Vanilla

2 cups of Cocoa powder

2 cups of Milk

Directions

Place egg yolks in a large bowl and beat for 2-3 minutes. Mix the Cocoa powder with the milk, then add it to the egg yolks along with the other ingredients. Stir well and freeze according to the instructions of your ice cream freezer. After frozen, take out of the freezer add your favorite toppings, serve, and enjoy!
