A Sheepish Seminar and Duck Eggs in the Making 12/29/17

Dr Caroline Leaf is an author I have enjoyed lately. I first read her book called Switch on Your Brain and I liked it but maybe it was a bit out o my league. Then I read her book, Think and Eat Yourself Smart, all about the brain/food/health connection.  NOW she is speaking my language. I highly recommend this author, she has deep and good content for those ready to take responsibility and make real change. Change the way you think AND eat, all in one book! If you are the type to blame and point the finger and want all change to come from Guvmint and others instead of taking responsibility and changing yourself or "BEING the change you want to see in this world" then you can pass on this one. If you want to fuss and fume about inequality between men and women and
rant about things you cannot change, like my in-laws did at Christmas, you can pass on this one. But if ready to take responsibility and BE the change then this one is for you!

Sheep and Goat's Milk available, 100% A2. Just a reminder since we are not able to keep up with demand for cow's milk, we have plenty fresh goat and lots of frozen sheep's milk. Sheep's milk is expensive, yes, but more digestible than cow's. Also all goats and sheep are A-2. Now if expensive is not in the budget right now please consider eating more cheese. Our cheese is higher quality than you can buy in any store anywhere AND cheaper. More nutrients for less $$, now THAT is a deal. Cheese is essentially summer milk stored up in a healthy form for you to enjoy in winter.

Duck eggs:  One of the new projects here at Full Circle Farm that started a few months ago, is duck eggs. Stella, our 11 year old, got the flock as ducklings, just hatched, and just the other day got the first egg was discovered. I was served that egg for breakfast the next day and is was very rich, the yoke extremely orange and the whole experience a lot like eating a chicken egg. We don’t know exactly where this will go but if people buy duck eggs I suspect it will go far. We have had requests over the years and just did not have time to think about it but now our children are growing up and Stella has been looking for her place here and I think she has found it. We have a pond here (just a low area with standing water we call a pond) and the ducks just love it. In the summer time the pond is covered with duck weed which makes up a lot of their diet. Even now with no duck weed in sight
they forage around and get much more off the land than a chicken. To me this will make a better end product.  We are big fans of less feed out of a bag and growing more off the land. The feed that they do eat is Non-GMO certified from Hilands, just like our chicken feeds. They get grower till they lay eggs then duck layer. Who knew there even was a different feed for ducks? You can feed them chicken feed but I suppose the duck feed is a bit more duck friendly. Ducks have a strong herd
instinct and stay close together a bit, almost like pigs. They definitely remind me of pigs, in more ways than one. Pigs always alert each other when something seems different and ducks are really good at this skill. So, we will soon have duck eggs on our site for sale.

Testimonials wanted: We need short stories for a brochure we are putting together. We want to do something new, with our customers telling the story of what real nutrient dense foods have done
for them. We want 2 or 3 sentences, 50 words more or less just straight and to the point exactly what these foods have done for you. Submit by clicking reply or by sending directly to me at thisisdennis@windstream.net. We may even start a new page on our website to post these and all the ones we cannot print in the brochure. IF you are willing to be contacted by others with the same condition please send us your contact info you would like posted with your story. If none is shared then we will assume you do not want to be contacted. An example of this is we have a mom
who is a long time customer of 15 years that found us when she was looking for real food to help with the healing of her Autistic son, she is wise and has helped many, but not all people want or can do this and we understand.

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
