Eat Liver and Pork! 9/9/16

October 1, 2016

Hello SMALL Farm Enthusiasts!
Ben, our pork manager, is doing an incredible job with the pigs. He is relentless and consistent in moving the pigs often and I am sure they are getting more food off the land because of that and because the land itself is improving over time. The bottom line is that Full Circle Farm pork is better than ever and we are well stocked in it right now. Also, half and whole pig ordering options are available in the next month. If interested email Ben at bfisk@westmont.edu.

Update from Eden Farm:
Our pullets just started laying. So our supply of eggs will start increasing, and we should have plenty of eggs for the Holidays. All eggs are soy free NGMO and will be priced at $7.00/ dozen.
Also the turkeys are growing fast. Start thinking about what size you will need for Thanksgiving. We anticipate butchering around the first or second week in October. More to come later on reserving your turkey, the sizes offered, etc.
Thank you for your past support and cooperation.

Ignite chiropractic in Palm Harbor wants our products delivered to their office for their customers. The trouble is Becky, who already delivers to Clearwater and St Pete, is full and cannot expand any more. Would anyone out there be interested, in this very part time work? Every two weeks pick up in Tampa off the truck and take it to Ignite in Palm Harbor. Email me at thisisdennis@windstream.net or click reply to this letter.

My write up on liver last letter created some interesting feedback I am sharing here verbatim except the names are withheld.
Well...you are definitely inspiring us to eat the livers again....we had given up on it as neither of us tolerated the strong smell of it....
here's a Columbian recipe that sounds pretty delicious....

Hi Dennis and Alicia,
We just want to send you a note letting you know that the A2 milk is wonderful; we have been thoroughly enjoying the flavor! Also, we have been eating lots of liver the past couple of months (as you can probably tell from our orders!) and it has been superb. We cook it up in batches and it makes a great on the go meal along with an apple. Our kind of fast food!! We really feel energetic after a meal with liver.
Happy liver eating and many blessings,

Hello my friends! I loved your writings on liver!
Try it with home fermented pickled beets! Goes really well with the liver onion and bacon! I also often cook a cauliflower. Pour the water from this into to pan drippings and thicken it with Arrowroot for a delicious gravy over the whole thing! Try it you will like it!!!
I just talked myself into fixing this tonight!
Love you all!!

Thank you for voting with your pocket book and supporting a local small farm,
Dennis and Alicia

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
