Hen Fruit, Better Than Ever! 1/11/19

Hen fruit. The late Jerry Brunetti always called eggs hen fruit, never eggs. He believed eggs were so good for you that he wanted vegans to eat them.  He just had to call them fruit to try and rearrange their thinking so that maybe if eggs were called "fruit" they and others may be attracted to eating them. Like a nut, hen fruit has all the nutrients necessary to make new life. It is loaded with every nutrient needed, just like an acorn is, to make an oak tree.  Of course sunshine and rain and soil then get involved, as well, in the making of that massive creation, but you get the point. And the health of that human egg may be enhanced by hen fruit eaten. Perhaps there is a correlation between one egg and the other.  I believe there is, and I would like to brag on our 14 year old doing our egg/hen fruit operation, here at Full Circle Farm. Caroline has been doing the egg operation here for 3 or 4 years now.  She ran the operation under my direction for 2 years then bought it lock stock and barrel, a year or two ago. This time of year we run our hens behind our milking herd who are eating rich, green rye grass.  They love eating lots of the greenery which makes the yokes brilliant orange. If anyone out there finds a competitor with darker, more brilliant orange yokes please tell me, as I want to go visit that farm and learn from them. We believe the yoke color shows the high level of good nutrients in our eggs.  Enjoy.

PA shipment coming soon with fresh spring butter, but this time we are switching to salted butter.  Of course, this is Celtic sea salt but salted will be different for us as we have always special ordered unsalted. If anyone needs or wants unsalted, we can get that but need advance orders so let us know imed by clicking reply and saying how many pints/lbs you want. This special order will only be available every 3 months so you will want to get enough to last that long and you need to order the whole amount and take it on the first order after the shipment comes to us and store it in your freezer at your home. We do not have walk in space to do both salted and unsalted. Next to hen fruit, butter is one of the healthiest foods we eat and we do not restrict our kids in how much they eat.  In fact we demonstrate on a regular basis that we love a little Sweet Tator with our butter, oh yea, this is our number one trick, for us on the keto diet, that helps us eat fewer carbs. Pile the butter higher than the tator! By the way, the sweet tators we have seem really good to us this year, sweeter than last year. But maybe its all that good butter??
