Alachua County 441 Farmers Market...
We hope to see you at the farmers market this Saturday from 8:30am-11:30am.  Lucie & Ben (our current interns) will be there managing the table so stop by and say hi.  Place your order by Thursday at midnight and pickup at the market or stop by for a free sample of our pan sausage.

Checks to us still need to be made to Cypress Consultants, not Full Circle.  Our bank let this slide for a while.  Now, I may need to have a talk with the new manager.  Meanwhile please make the checks to “CC” or Cypress Consultants.

FCF News

Change is the one constant in life, we do not always like it but it happens. Rick and Erin came to us 5 months ago and have done a great job with orders, packing and several other things here like inventory control and more. Rick was excited about doing pastured poultry here and we got the license so we could sell these to restaurants and grow this thing ………..but then he got a call from Chic-fil-la where he worked as a manager before coming to work with us.  At first he thought little of it until they offered him a LOT of money. Rick is young but he is extremely good with numbers, meticulous with organization and good with people, we will miss them both. We are looking for someone to replace him and his wife, Erin who has been our “Office Manager” these past months.  We hope to find someone soon enough so that they can be trained by Rick and Erin before they leave.

Help Wanted!  We are looking for an Office Manager who is well organized, detail oriented and has strong computer skills to work with us 20-25 hours /week or more depending on desire and skill level.  The person would be in charge of processing orders, answering phone calls and e-mails and updating inventory and other information on our website as well as keeping our Facebook page up to date.   If interested please e-mail us and we can give you more details.  The person would also need to live locally to our farm in Live Oak, FL.

Jimmy’s beef (https://www.facebook.com/Regengraze) is here and it is the best you ever had, perhaps. This is an incredible story and one I think you would like to hear.  Jimmy came to an event we held, featuring Joel Salatin, about 4 or 5 years ago, and we have been fast friends ever since. He has taught me more about farming in the last few years then I learned in the first 50 years of my life. He is always learning and changing and doing something new and better. Being from Mexico he loves to do things efficiently and as cost effective as possible.  He has zero time for things that are costly and do not work.  He has zero time for advertisements that promise and do not deliver and zero time for chemicals.  I have never seen someone who understands plants and animals and combines the 2 into a working system like Jimmy. So just before I met him he had left Mexico and came to work on a ranch here in Florida.  I have wanted to sell his beef ever since we met and it has taken a while but we now perhaps have a deal with the ranch owner that he works for and may have the beef for the for seeable future, I sure hope so. This is the first beef that when we had it we got requests for more of it, the depth of flavor and tenderness is all there. It is done to beyond our standards and completely chemical free and 100% grass fed. This beef is so good we considered having a separate “Jimmy beef” category line of products but with our small family operation that is a bit of a challenge. This amazing beef does cost a bit more but we are pretty sure you will agree that it is more than worth it.

Cheese that is older and barely selling needs a discounted price.  So, until this batch of cheese is gone, our mozzarella and havarti will be $5 a lb for whole blocks (5lb) only.  One block is ~ $25.  My favorite way to eat this cheese is in omelets.  In fact a cheese omelet is not as good if the cheese does not have a “kick” to it and is not somewhat pungent.  Top off the omelet with some of our salsa and tantalize your taste buds!  Here is your chance to get some good grass fed cheese at an amazingly low price.

Pet Food Ground beef is here in the form of some hamburger meat that was packed by our ex-butcher before he closed down a few months ago. This is edible by humans but texture, taste and smell is a bit off. We will sell for $5 a lb and recommend it for your pets only. BTW I tried to talk to this guy for years about eating right and he always blew me off, then he had a stroke and went down hard at a way to young age. SAD!

Other New Products:
Organic Salsa:  All ingredients are homegrown by our Amish friends in PA and organic, 1 pint $8.00
Honey:  Pepperberry truly raw and unfiltered, 1 quart $18
Sweet Potatoes: 40lb box for $30
From Little River Organics:
Orlando Tangelos:   ¼ bushel for $16
Blood oranges:  4lb bag for $

Pork highlights...

As we mentioned in the last newsletter Brian and Angela will have their last batch of pigs available starting in March so secure your half and whole pig order now.  Also, we are excited that Ben (our current intern) has started up  his first batch of pigs which will be ready starting in June.  Below are some pictures of this new group and they are looking great!

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
