FCF News

Our 13 year old daughter, Lily, is our goat master here at FCF, she has 5 years of education on this at the school of hard knocks and is doing extremely well, keeping goats healthy without chemicals. This Spring she wanted to try finishing some lambs and has excelled at that as well. I only know of one other farm in FL that does not worm their sheep with chemicals.  This is rare and Lily has done a great job without the use of chemicals and from her years of experience with goats. The Lamb is now ready to go, see it on our site and support our youngest partner by eating some incredible lamb:  https://fullcirclerealfoods.com/store/lamb.

Chestnuts from Little River Organics.  These incredible nuts have the carbohydrate profile of brown rice AND the Amino acid Profile of an egg, power packed food at its finest!  Try their sweet persimmons as well!  Look for them in the "Garden" category: https://fullcirclerealfoods.com/store/garden.

Several whole, half and quarter beef is now available. We will list what we have on the site with prices and when gone the season is over for this year.

Website Updates....
We recently added a new section to the website which can be found under the About Us Page.  It is titled FAQs and includes various questions that we are asked on a consistent basis by new customers.  We hope this is a helpful reference for you and feel free to let us know additional questions that you think may be helpful to add to this section.

Recommendations for Restaurants in JAX...
We are currently visiting local restaurants in Jacksonville to determine interest for selling our pork, beef and chicken.  Let us know your favorite farm to table restaurant in the area that you think might be interested and we will reach out to them and take them some free samples.  Email us at angelabowen@gmail.com with your recommendations.

New Restaurant in Ybor City...
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Clementine Cafe located in Ybor City to offer our forest-fed pork.  Check them out next time you are in the area and support them for choosing to buy local, nutrient-dense food!  Their website is: http://www.clementinechef.com/.

Pork Updates...
We have added various items to the website such as pig head, tail, fat, etc.  Check out the additions and think about how you can be creative and use these nutrient dense pieces in your next dish. Here is a recommended recipe for Pig Tail: https://fullcirclerealfoods.com/blog?tag=recipes.  Also, we still have lots of Pork Broth; scroll down on the link above to find the recipe for Split Pea Soup that calls for this ingredient.

Pork Business Opportunity...
We have had over 10 different people interested in the pork business.  Applicants are still being taken and in a few months decisions will be made. Seems like there are lots of folks interested in farming these days, both homesteading and full time. The shaky economy makes us aware of the important things in life like health and well being.

Book recommendations: Broken Children, Grown Up Pain. Subtitled: Understanding the Effects of Your Wounded Past. And a second by the same Author:  Angry Men and the Women Who Love Them, both by Paul Hegstrom.
If you want to understand yourself better these 2 books are awesome!

Thanks for being conscious consumers who vote with your pocket book by supporting our growing family of farms and budding entrepreneurs,

Trial Date: October 21st, Please Come And Show Your Support

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Our trial date is set for October 21st at the Suwannee County Courthouse in Live Oak, FL. We would like to ask you to drop everything and come to the trial. The more people we can get into that room the better off we will be. If you want to say something on our behalf you may be allowed but if you want to observe, only, that works too. The judge will be persuaded by numbers of people interested in this case.

Rabbit, Chestnuts, Micro-Greens And A Trial 9/20/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, We may be going to trial. We are alleged criminals for selling food without a proper license. They sent an undercover investigator to our farm to buy our food and caught us red handed. We are charged with a second degree misdemeanor just like a druggy. Yes it is a very sick world we live in when the farmer and his wife who neither have ANY previous record are accused of a crime and the crime is something that people have been doing since the beginning of time.

Kefir, a Glass a Day Will Keep the Doctor Away and Persimmons A-plenty 9/6/19

Hello Small Farm Enthusiasts, Kefir made from raw, 100% grass fed milk is an amazing super food loaded with friendly bacteria for your gut. A healthy person will have 2 to 6 lbs of healthy bacteria in their gut. Another way to say this is that a healthy person will have 80% good bacteria and 20% bad in the gut but most Americans have this ratio reversed. This imbalance affects the immune function as these friendly bacteria are a huge part of your immune system.
